The Fairlie Yacht Club Burns supper
The Fairlie Yacht Club held their bi-annual Burns night in the Chartroom Inverkip Marina on the 5th of February. This was the first event of their Golden Jubilee Year. Some of the members stayed the night at the Foresters House and according to them the night was a great success.
Members of the club recited the words of Burns and the poems were delivered in a humorous and professional manner which added to the enjoyment of the night.The normal Burn’s night fare was served and the Chartroom management and staff have to be congratulated on the high standard of food and service. The picture inset is of some of the members in the Forester’s Lounge after having enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. We look forward to welcoming them again in February 2013 and hope that their Golden Jubilee Year is a good one with fair winds and sunshine.
